There’s so much info. Where do I start?
To locate the specific candidates
that you can expect to see on your ballot, enter your name and address on the form to the left. That information will be used to locate the
candidates for your specific districts.
How do I choose from all the candidates running?
This website is designed to
help you find the candidates whose values most clearly mirror your own. Review
and answer the questions yourself then compare your answers to the candidates’
answers.
Do I have to vote for each race on my ballot?
No. You are not required to vote for each race.
If there are multiple seats for a particular office (such as State Representative or
Corporation Commission), do I have to vote for more than one candidate?
No. You may vote for as
many candidates as there are open seats or you may choose to vote for only one candidate in that race.
It's up to you.
How do you use my information?
In order to use portions of this Web site, a user must
first complete the registration form. During registration a user
is required to give contact information (such as name and email address).
We use this information to contact the user about services on our site
for which the user has expressed interest. We do not sell or otherwise
share your data with non-CAP affiliated/contract organizations. It is not
authorized for use by any outside third party for any form of fundraising
or solicitation. Read the full privacy policy online at http://www.azpolicy.org/privacy.php.
What if I prefer to not enter my address?
You can view and print the complete 16 page Voter's Guide online at http://www.votesmartaz.org/pdf/pm/PrimaryVotersGuideEng.pdf. Please note: The Voter's Guide pdf was correct as of July 3. Any new or changed responses that were received after that time
are not in the pdf. Additionally, candidate comments and covered county races are not included in the pdf. To view the most up-to-date,
comprehensive information you need to enter your address and access the electronic guide. The electronic guide is updated daily.
I’ve entered my address, but the site won’t tell me my districts or got it wrong. What
should I do?
If you know your district numbers, enter the numbers in the "View Another District" boxes on the "My Guide" page. Click "Change" and the candidates for the new districts will be displayed. If you are unsure of your District numbers, use "District Finder" on the menu and re-enter your address.
